Lowry

Lowry's Hangar Lofts

Lowry is a former U.S. Air Force Base - conveniently and expertly redeveloped into a fabulous Denver real estate community of neighborhoods, shops, restaurants and offices. It's recreational amenities, coupled with its new schools and its hiking and biking trails make Lowry a destination lifestyle opportunity in Northeast Denver.

The community has a wonderful modern history. In 1991, when the closure of Lowry AFB seemed eminent, the cities of Denver and Aurora signed an intergovernmental agreement establishing the Lowry Economic Recovery Project. The Lowry Redevelopment Authority was formed in 1994, once the air force base was officially closed. Throughout the late 1990's the redevelopment of Lowry took shape. It included key historic preservation measures, including the transformation of an aircraft hangar into a public iceskating and hockey rink.

Lowry has preserved the best aspects of a traditional city neighborhood, while adding an integrated new urban environment of open spaces, small shops, state-of-the-art educational facilities and more. Lowry contains five distinct neighborhoods, each with fabulous amenities.

Town Center District
At Lowry's historic core, the Town Center District incorporates shopping & dining with offices and historic homes as well as modern lofts.  Old architecture blends with new designs as upscale, urban lifestyles integrate in three new home communities: Luce, Hangar Lofts and The Haven.

Northwest Neighborhood
Located north of Denver's grand Sixth Avenue Parkway, this neighborhood offers Denver real estate options unlike anywhere else. With uncommon architectural diversity, Northwest Neighborhood mixes it up! Single-family homes, luxurious custom residences, patio homes, apartments and affordable living options come together to create a truly integrated community.
New home opportunities include 6th Ave. Customs, Crescent Ridge and Prairie Vista.

Southwest Neighborhood
At Alameda Avenue and Quebec Street, the Southwest Neighborhood was designed to reflect classic Denver neighborhoods. The site of the 1998 Parade of Homes, the Southwest Neighborhood features a single-family homes, townhomes and luxury apartments. Few Denver real estate developments rival Southwest Neighborhood.

West Neighborhood
Once Air Force base housing, the West Neighborhood again integrates a breadth of Denver real estate options into one fabulous neighborhood. A thoughtful collection of townhomes, condominiums, duplexes, and affordable living choices, it is located in close proximity to shopping, restaurants and schools. Add a state-of-the-art library and a centerpiece neighborhood park, and you've got a handsome neighborhood to call home.

EastPark Neighborhood
Eastparks' greatest asset is it's easy access to more than 500 acres of nearby parks and recreational areas, including the playing fields of the Sports Complex, Big Bear Ice Arena, Westerly Creek Dam and Creek, and the new Lowry golf course CommonGround. With winding, tree-lined streets, it exudes warmth and comfort. And, with a high point of 5,400 feet, EastPark offers terrific views of downtown and the Front Range mountains. Still in development, EastPark will eventually contain over 600 beautiful homes, townhomes and condominiums.
