Located a few blocks north of Olde Town Arvada and close to the future Gold Line light rail station, Arvada Peak will offer many unique features to reduce its impact - and its resident's impact - upon the environment.
The Photovoltaic power arrays on the roof will be low profile 2KW solar array, tied into the grid. For most working professionals, this will likely cover 100% of the homeowner's electrical costs. Once a year Excel Energy will do a usage calculation, and if the homeowner uses less electricity than was made, Excel will actually pay the homeowner for that electricity. Discreet Builders will also offer homebuyers the option of installing larger solar arrays, up to 6KW.
In addition to the solar electricity, the Arvada real estate development will include increased exterior insulation, dual flush toilets, tankless hot water heaters, and Energy Star approved appliances.
Discreet Builders plans to offer homes starting at $219,000. This price will include all of the above features and granite kitchens countertops.
