Holiday Visitors?
Posted by Kathie Shandro on Thursday, November 19th, 2009 at 7:17am.Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper launched the "Denver Mile High Holidays" program yesterday promoting Denver as a vacation destination for holiday travelers. Sponsored by the city and Visit Denver, it is designed to entice families throughout the Rocky Mountain region to visit Denver this holiday season.
“Denver is the cultural, shopping, nightlife, dining, sports and entertainment capital of the Rocky Mountain West,” Richard Scharf, president and CEO of Visit Denver, said in a statement Wednesday. “This campaign encourages families from throughout the region to start a tradition of coming to the big city during the holiday period to see the Parade of Lights, take a carriage ride down the 16th Street Mall, listen to the bells at the City & County building, see the massive holiday displays at shopping centers like Cherry Creek and the Denver Pavilions, take in a performance of "The Christmas Carol," cheer on the Avs and the Nuggets at the Pepsi Center and dine in some of our outstanding restaurants."
As part of the marketing campaign, over 40 hotels are offering "Mile High" rates of $52.80 per night.
If you have friends and relatives coming to town, you might want to take advantage of the various program offers and discounts. And while they are here, if they have any questions about Denver real estate or Denver housing values, give us a call. We're more than happy to answer any questions they have.
